If you don't have a subscription to the year of kits we have coming, you're missin out!! Don't let another month go by without getting a Royal kit from Queen Kat Designs.
Since we have sold out of the 12X12's... You can get on the wait list... If you would like to be put on the wait list for March's 12X12 kit, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org we will be happy to reserve a slot for you!
If you are waiting for the March Get Inked! kit, you're wait won't be long!!! :) Stay tuned for more info.
This one has a nice 'winter' feel to it. I love using purple and pink together. I remember as a child my sister laughing every time I would put my pink coat on with my purple skirt...she always said I didn't match, but I knew better! (Sorry, I digress...love you Paula!)
I used the 'Happy Birthday' stamp from the Greetings 2 Set (which is on sale by the way), embossed it with silver and few little touches for a sweet card for one of my many winter birthdays!
Have a great day and go stamp something!

Meet Joe he and I are great pals. We both adore fresh java and pajama pants!!! He is the perfect additon to any stamper's collection! I've used him for holiday treats and cards to just say hello. How cute would he be with a Starbucks gift card tucked inside for that special someone. Grab one while you can, he is only on sale for one week!

I love the colors on this card, and used the dp to match. I did find the trim at Big Lots, can you believe that, it was only a 1.oo for 3 yards. that is pretty good :) I tied the heart charm on and the T stands for Thank you. I will stamp that inside later :) Thanks for looking, and have a wonderful week!!!

Last night, I dug out a past Take 3 set that I had gotten but never had the chance to play with. A friend of mine is in the process of buying a new house and so I thought that the little house allowed me the perfect opporotunity to be one step ahead on congratulating them on their new place.

Is it just me, or do you always seem to need birthday cards? I'm trying to pad my supply of them.
The other night the QK DT had a little crop of our own....(always fun to see what we come up with) and one of the challenges was a sketch challenge....and here is what I came up with!
I pulled out an older stamp set that I have of QK's....I LOVE this flower and thought, why not use it as a 'border' of sorts! I stamped them and cut them out....added a few goodies and there ya go! A birthday card for my stash...
I need soooo many more though?? How about you? How is your birthday card stash?
Have a great weekend!
In this card, I've used various distress inks to stamp the images and use a dark solvent ink to stamp the last image. This will give you the distance effect look on the images. Try this technique!
Be sure to check out February's Get Inked! Kit from QKD. I've designed the stamps and written some technique/projects sheets for it. I'll also be doing some further samples besides the projects that come with the kit hoping to further inspire. So, if you don't want to miss out on it, make sure you sign up on the wait list for February's GI Kit. You just need to send an email to email@example.com .

This week's Royal challenge is paper piecing. This seems to be all over lately and lots of fun. If you want to avoid coloring your stamped images this is a great way to go. I used Basic Grey Bittersweet papers on mine.
My sketch is the sketch challenge over at Paper Craft Planet for this week. Be sure to visit us in our forum at PCP. I hope that you will play along and if you do please come over the the forum and post your creations.
Thanks for stopping by.

On my card I stamped the icecream top on pink polka dotted design paper, and then cut it out. Next I stamped the bottom of the icecream cone on white cardstock, and then used choc chip, and close to cocoa su pens to outline and color in. I did stamp the cherry along the bottom of this card, and on the circle tag! The ribbon along the side has little tiny brads in the center of each flower. I want to say thank you to Lynn for my RAK, I received the wide brown polka dotted ribbon in my package! Thanks again Lynn!! :) Thank you for stopping by!! Have a wonderful week!!

First, I made the tag out of some white cardstock. Then, I smushed some Worn Lipstick distress ink onto wax paper, spritz it with a little water, and brayered it on the tag. I used the same color to ink the edges of the tag as well. Next, I grabbed a grunge heart, painted it red, and added some fruit punch stickles. The stamp is from the QKD set "Holiday Words", which I stamped onto white cardstock and colored in with Tombo markers. Grab some buttons and ribbon, and put it all together. Hope this inspires you to make something fun and fast for the holiday approaching!!
Happy Tuesday everyone!

Want more?? Ok! You got it! We have set up a private message board just for instructions with pictures and interaction with the person who created the kit. What does that mean, you ask? It means that when you purchase one of the special project kits, you will be emailed a link to the message board where you can sign up and sign in and receive personal help from the project's creator! I think that's so fun! It's like taking a class in your own home. And you have the instructions and stamps to use over and over again once you've completed your project! We have an entire year planned with these kits.
What's in the kit? Well I'll tell you...
1 Frame (with glass and all)
1 mini jar of QKD Red Shimmer Paint
1 mini jar of Iridescent Medium
1 Foam paint brush
1 Large Beautiful Flower
1 mini Stamp Set
2 Rectangles of Cardstock
Here's the fun Mini stamp set you'll get.
What's the price of the kit? You'll have to come to the store tomorrow to find out! It's a great price for what you get.
