"Sophie" Dares to be Different.....

Today I am sharing my mini journal double page spread using a gorgeous quirky image by Lea Barozzi "Sophie". Lea has some great images at the QKD Store

My pages have been decorated with acrylic paint & some lettering plus some gorgeous glitter for added sparkle! "Sophie" image was printed on tissue paper and adhered to the page with Modge Podge.

I haven't decorated pages in my journals for awhile so I decided to get going on them!

See everyone next week with some more inspiration for using QKD Designs!

Cherish...

Today I am sharing a card made using an image from Lea Barozzi available at the QKD Store

I love this image - I always love images that are a bit "different" - makes for intersting creating! Patterned papers are called "Tribal Fire" and are from a digital pack available at Gecko Galz - I thought they matched this image as she is a bit tribal looking! Image has been coloured with Copic Markers, I distressed all the paper edges with my distressing tool, added some fibre, a little tag with the scrabble tile wording and some die cut flowers to finish it off!

See you all again next week! Sharon

Smudgy & Inky Cards...

Today I am sharing 2 cards made using images from the QKD Store by Lea Barozzi.

Sometimes it's good to have some quick ideas for making cards that still look really effective.

Both cards have had ink pads swiped directly onto the card and then they have been put through the printer to add the image along with sentiment. I have added sheer ribbon bows tied around the spines just to finish them off. You could add a charm or other embellishment - it's really up to you how fancy you want to make them. Sometimes Less is More!!!

Why not pop over to the store and grab yourself an image from one of the many fabulous artists and make a few quick cards!

See you all next week!

A Birthday Card!

Today I am sharing a card using a gorgeous image from the Queen Kat Designs Store by a wonderful Artist : Lea Barozzi.

This image is named "Sophie" - gorgeous and a little bit quirky - I love images that are a bit different to the "norm". As you can see I have die cut the image so not all of the image is actually in the frame. I used Copic Markers to colour the image and I wanted a subtle look for the face and background so not a lot of colour was used.

Background paper is a digital paper from Gecko Galz and is very pink - one of my favourite colours to create with!! I added some gold stickers to the corners, gold line stickers behind the image, gold Happy Birthday wording and a few hot pink gemstones to the side - they are a bit hard to see!

I love this card - it has a really "rich" coloured feel to it. Next week I will be sharing a creation with another of Lea's images. Have a great week!

Spring Birds by lea Barozzi

It's Saturday again and that means QUEEN KAT'S DAY.
Today I have a creation with the adorable spring birds by Lea Barozzi to share. Click the link to go the shop directly.

Spring Birds Unmounted Rubber Stamp

The background is made with embossing ink, a TCW template and pan pastels.  On the parts were the embossing ink is , the pan pastels will turn out darker. This is a fun way to use your pastels. And I really love the effect. Pan pastels also blend very well, they are smooth and the colours are just fabulous. The image is printed on white cardstock and coloured with colouring pencils. The tiny leafs and flowers are from my stash.

have a fabulous weekend

Spring birds

Queen Kat Designs Stamp Co.

These cute and gorgeous birds (SPRING BIRDS) are designed by Lea Barozzi and available in the Queen kat webshop. Don't you just love them too? I think they are very cute.

Spring Birds Unmounted Rubber Stamp

I have been working in my art journal again. The background is made with acrylic paints and TCW templates. For the finishing touch I diluted some blue paint  with water and let it run over the page. This gives a really neat effect I think....allthough I must admit that in my early painting days I wasn't happy when the paint started to run but nowadays I let it run on purpose...how things can change LOL

Have a wonderful day
hugs
Miranda
