Snow Friends by Sandra Caldwell!
Aren't these snow friends the best? This awesomely cute stamp is available at QKD and is by one of my favorite stamp artists Sandra Caldwell. For this card I began with white card stock and added layer after layer. For a total of about 7 layers! I free cut the brackets in various sizes and they are also layered on the back of the card. For the punched border, I trimmed it with pinking shears and added faux stitching. Each of the brackets has a tiny bit of dimensional foam tape under it to keep the depth there. I really love this look for a card. The rubber stamp is about three inches tall, so this unique card will fit in a standard size card envelope!
Hope your holiday season is off to a wonderful start!

A bit of a Teaser!
Hi Everyone
It must be Thursday again as I am here sharing some more creations with new designs available at the QKD Store!!
Today I have used "parts" of new images by Maigan Lynn just to "tempt" you LOL!
Rest assured though I will share creations with the whole of each image!
These gorgeous images are titled "The Mermaid and the Swan" & "Thumbelina" - just gorgeous images as always from Maigan - always fantastic to colour and create with!
The layout for both my cards came from a little blog I found "Kathy's Waffle Sketch File" - "Bits & Pieces Sketch" - I love the fact that this sketch encourages you to use up bits and pieces which is just what I did - you know I can never bring myself to throw away even the smallest scrap of paper!!
Maybe you could all grab a QKD image and enter and get those "QKD" images out there for everyone to see!!!
I will see everyone next week with another new creation!

I'll Have a Blue Christmas Without You
I'm really happy to be starting my Christmas cards for the year. I have some lovely new images with which to make them. This one comes from Queen Kat Designs, a pretty little image called Christmas Girl by Milky Cat Studios.
After coloring her with Copics (YR00,R05,G02,BG72 & B04), I framed her using a die from Spellbinders Nestabilities (Scalloped oval) and patterned paper from DCWV.
She looks wistful, as if she's missing someone this Christmas season. Or perhaps she's impatient, waiting for the festivities to begin. She could even be waiting for the photographer to snap his picture for her annual Christmas cards.
Regardless, she makes a pretty picture in her holiday dress, sitting in front of the tree. As far as the embellishments go, I pretended my card was a Christmas tree and hung all kinds of pretties on it!!
Have you been celebrating the Queen's birthday with us this month? You only have a few days left to snag this awesome Christmas set. It is FREE with your rubber stamp order of $30 or more-offer ends on November 30!!

Dream a Little Dream
Hi everyone! Happy Thursday. I am excited to be showing a brand new stamp today from Queen Kat. This fun image is from artist Maigan Lynn and is called Dream a Little Dream. Isn't she gorgeous? I love this stamp. Her images are well know for their big eyelashes and she also has a bunch of wonderful mermaids.
I added a T.S. Eliot sentiment to this card "Love is most nearly itself when here and now crease to matter." I can imagine a lover looking into this maiden's eyes and thinking of nothing more than her.
Be sure and check out all the amazing images from Maigan Lynn at the Queen Kat store this week!
Cheers, Holley

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like a Sandra Caldwell Christmas!
It's another cute stamp from Sandra Caldwell! I simply adore the expression on her stamps!
I colored this uber cute trio with Copic Markers and covered all with the spica glitter. I think they are adorable!
I created faux chalkboard paper with black Bazzill card stock and a white chalk pencil. I love the chalk board look without having to invest in a line of chalk board paper. Call me thrifty!
The card also has Pink Paislee doily rub ons, which I think look remarkably like snowflakes!
The background paper is from Webster's Pages and the sentiment is Tim Holtz holiday words (chat!).
Thanks for stopping by, next Saturday, I will have another card with Sandra's fabulous images and more Christmas cheer!
Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Shaken or Stirred????
Hi Everyone
Today I am sharing a card using a new design from the very talented Charles Bristow - artist for QKD! This is the first time I have worked with Charles' designs and did I ever have a great time putting this creation together!!
The image is called "Lorelei's Martini" (obviously!!!) - and the digital papers I used are from the Etsy Store "The Digital Design Shop" - they were just perfect for this card!
Great card for a man - you know they are always the hardest to make for but I think any guy would love this sexy gal!
I have another of these images ready to create with - she has a xmas style hat so perhaps a Xmas card will be in order for my next creation.
Make sure you check out the QKD Store for more great designs from Charles Bristow and the other talented artists!
Have a great week.

Happy Birthday, QKD!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY QKD!!! Today we celebrate seven years of magical, fantastical, funky and steam punky stamps and digi images from the Queen and her Royal Court of designers!
Queen Kat Designs just released some awesome rubber stamps and digital images this month, and I got to play with one of them. Her name is Snow Crystal and she is designed by the lovely Marianne English. I fussy-cut my image after coloring her with Copics because I love to pop some of my images into a "scene."Here she is walking through a winter wonderland, on her way to the Queen's birthday party. I used patterned paper from Pinecone Express Papers, and cut the trees with a QuicKutz die. The sentiment is from Making Memories and the snowflakes are from (gasp) WalMart! Copics used are: BG72, 10; BV00, 02, 04; B63; R00 and RV11.
This month, order $30 or more of rubber stamps by November 30 and get this stamp FREE!!

Ribbon Dancer
Here's a gorgeous stamp from Queen Kat artist Laura Macy called Ribbon Dancer. What a stunning image. I added a great saying from Cosmo Crickett "Let your inner artist out." I think that sentiment is just perfect with this image. She's available as a rubber stamp and a digi stamp.
Laura Macy has several other wonderful stamps including many different sun and moon designs. Lovely images available.

Thankful Crow Digital Stamp from Sandra Caldwell
Don't you just love this cute crow from Sandra Caldwell? He is available as a digital stamp from Queen Kat Designs store. I colored him with a combination of colored pencils, Copic Markers, and Spica pens. He was fussy cut and mounted on golden Bazzill card stock which was pinked with pinking shears. I also added the purple striped paper which was pinked. The paper is from Gina K designs. I mounted the golden card stock on black card stock and faux stitched with a white Signo pen. The entire front was mounted on a 4 1/4 inch by 5 1/2 inch plain white card stock. I think he is fun and festive as can be!
Thanks for stopping by!

Cherish...
Today I am sharing a card made using an image from Lea Barozzi available at the QKD Store.
I love this image - I always love images that are a bit "different" - makes for intersting creating! Patterned papers are called "Tribal Fire" and are from a digital pack available at Gecko Galz - I thought they matched this image as she is a bit tribal looking! Image has been coloured with Copic Markers, I distressed all the paper edges with my distressing tool, added some fibre, a little tag with the scrabble tile wording and some die cut flowers to finish it off!
See you all again next week! Sharon

Looking a Tiny Bit Like Christmas
It's starting to look a little festive at Queen Kat Designs This is one of my all-time favorite stamps. There are so many great holiday stamps to choose from right now! This was stamped on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. I decided to fussy cut her and add glitter glue for the emphasis on the clouds. The sentiment, "Christmas Greetings" is from the Tim Holtz seasonal sentiments booklet. She was quick and fun to make.
Thanks for stopping by!
