Queen Kat Designs has another announcement!! Yipeee.... We are so excited to welcome Toni Armstrong to our Royal Court. Toni is a fabulous stamper, card maker and person! She is so sweet and kind, I am very proud to call her my friend and team mate. Below are a couple of cards that she made using the images for the Diva monster and Buddy the monster. "Hello everyone! My name is Toni Armstrong and I am thrilled to be a new member of the Design Team for Queen Kat Designs! I live in beautiful Conifer, CO with my hubby Iain, our two kids, Natalie (11) and Jamie (5), and our 4 cats and 1 crazy dog. Iain and I are both originally from Scotland but became proud U.S. citizens in 2002 (the Scottish accent is here to stay, though!). I am a stay-at-home mom, a volunteer at my kids’ school and I am also a part-time Criminal Justice student.

I have been scrapbooking, stamping, and cardmaking for 8 years and thoroughly enjoy every minute of it! My work has been published in Paper Crafts, Card Creations, Take Ten, Simply Sentiments, Scrap & Stamp Arts, and Just Cards. I love the versatility of stamps and the creative process that takes place whenever I start a project. My style is clean, with embellishments to draw attention to the stamped image. Card Showcase

Look what the Royal Court has done with the new CHA stamps! These stamps are in the store and are shipping now!

This first one is by Sierra Grannie.. Look at her, she's STILL using the January kit from Queen Kat Designs!! She says "These kits last a long time, this is like my 14th or 15th card from the kit".

Tanis is leading the way with this card. This is a fantastic sample, Tanis! :) Nina, Nina, Nina.. She's done it again! She had the Library Card stamp and she ran with it. This is just one of MANY samples that Nina came up with for this stamp. Come to the gallery and check out her other work. Nina is from the Philippenes, and has a very unique style. I think it's fun to see art from different parts of the world!

This card was made by Nancy. What a nice subtle way to use the stamps. She used the "Feeling Blocks" on this card. Like Nina she ran with the stamp set. Come check it out in the gallery.

Well... January is almost over! I'm so thankful!! It has been a very looooong month and sooooo many changes have come about in the Royal Court and with Queen Kat Designs. Let the party begin! Welcome to the New Year's round robin blog party!! It all starts now!

Below are 2 challenges for you to complete today. That's right, TODAY! This round of the party is only 1 day, but for the remainder of the party, each Royal Court Member will have 3 days on their blog. There will be nothing going on on Sundays. Just keep coming back to this blog for updates on the party!! Stick with us and have some fun.

Challenge 1: Pick a QK sketch from the gallery here. Create a card with it. Make sure your card looks somewhat like the sketch so we can see how you used it.

Challenge 2: Lift a card from the gallery and create a card using it as an idea. Make sure you use at least 2 layers and 2 embellishments.


Info on how to show us your art: upload your cards/projects to an online gallery or photo hosting site and comment to this thread with the link to your photo. (I use www.photobucket.com). Please do not upload your art to the QKD gallery UNLESS it uses QKD stamps.

Prize info: Each blog will have 1 prize stamp set to give out. Each Royal Court member will have their own way of choosing a winner so make sure to read the info on their blog. How will the prize be determined on this blog? It's simple! Every entry that successfully completes the challenge will be entered into a drawing. 1 winner will be chosen and announced on Friday, January 4. Prizes will begin to mail on Jan 15th. Each person may enter each challenge 2 times. That's 4 entries to the prize. Make them your best work!
