Stampin' Saturday using Distressed Paper

Hi QKD Bloggers!  It's another snowy weekend where I live.  I have an easy technique for you today.  For a different look on your project, try crumpling your paper and then highlighting the creases with ink.
Here is a card I made with the QKD Owl and Stumpy set last fall.  You can see how the ink emphasizes the creases and adds some extra interest.  I use Tim Holtz for Ranger Distress Inks and apply the ink to the creases with sponge applicators.

Take a look at this map I downloaded from a website which I'm using as the background patterned paper for my card.  I distressed the edges with my scissors.  It was perfectly fine that the scissors ripped the paper in a few places.  My mission was to make the map look well-worn from a tourist's trip.  I used three different colors of Ranger ink to distress the edges: Antique Linen, Old Paper, and Vintage Photo.

Want to see the card I made with this background?  It's under wraps until the new stamp reveal on Monday--so see you back here for the start of the QKD Royal Court Blog Hop bright and early Monday morning!

In the meantime, hope you have time to stamp a lot!.  Helene aka 2amscrapper at  LOTSA SCRAP
