Sketch That!
Check out the gallery for inspiration and more sketches.
Project: ATC Book
So, I went and did a bit of shopping, and figured out how to make a book to display ATCs so each gets its own page, and gives me a nice, small, portable album. What you end up with is a good-sized accordion-fold book.
See the directions for the project at From Pooka's Crayon!

Card By: Suzann Jones

Greetings Blocks Hello!
To make this card, I cut the polka dot patterned paper (Making Memories' Cheeky collection) to 4" x 5.25" and matted it with brown cardstock which was cut to 4.25" x 5.5". Next I stamped the "Hello" greeting with VersaFine Vintage Sepia pigment ink, embossed the sentiment and cut it out, matting it with regular and scalloped squares as you can see here. I attached some brown ribbon to the panel and then used pop dots to make the stamped image stand out (literally!). I then attached the entire panel to a blank card. I love this set - so very versatile!! Thanks for stopping by - I hope you come back soon and visit us :)

A little tutorial
Hello, bloggers. My name is Nina and I'm here to share with you a tiny little tutorial. Hope you like it. =)
I was kinda sad this year that hubby was away for Valentine's Day. So I was determined to enjoy what I could of the day with my little 3-foot-tall date. *click the photo to see a larger image*
Happy V-Day Layout (12" x 12")
Here's a step-by-step on how I made this layout:
1. Alter the photos in a photo editing software using digital elements. Digital elements: Color My World by Rhonna Farrer (TwoPeasinaBucket), Valentine and Tasty Tattoo by Jason Gaylor (Designfruit), File Tab by Mandy Steward (Scrappy Girls), and Corrugated Cardboard from Vintage Doll Elements by Susan Darter (Raspberry Road Designs). Print out.
2. Recyle Christmas patterned paper. The red patterned paper is Christmas paper from Rhonna Farrer (Autumn Leaves). Simply cut along design lines.
3. I tore the Prima journaling paper to accommodate the large photo on the top right.
4. To create your custom embellishment: Roll a large rectangular piece of white cardstock to form a rolled-up holder for the flowers. Stamp with Queen Kat Designs Text It Background Stamp to create the illusion of newspaper print.
5. Stamp Queen Kat Designs Hibiscus Flower Stamp 10 times on white cardstock. Cut out. Attach one layer of paper flowers to "stems" of stretched-out paper clips. Apply foam tape to the middle of flowers and attach a second layer each.
6. Tape the rolled-up paper closed. Wrap with sinamay (fibrous ribbon) then roll thin ribbon twice around the sinamay. Stamp Queen Kat Designs Happy Day Stamp (March 2008 release) on white cardstock. Cut out and attach. Attach red glitter letter "V" and outline with white pen.
7. Stamp Queen Kat Designs Library Card Stamp on white cardstock. Cut out and write journaling. Attach black rickrack as handle to pull out. Create a pocket behind one photo.
8. Attach all elements to blue cardstock. Use foam tape for photos beside the flower bouquet. Doodle with white pen to fill up blue spaces.
*Hope you like the tutorial. I'll be back next week for another tutorial.* =)

Whoop whoop!
"Hello everyone! My name is Toni Armstrong and I am thrilled to be a new member of the Design Team for Queen Kat Designs! I live in beautiful Conifer, CO with my hubby Iain, our two kids, Natalie (11) and Jamie (5), and our 4 cats and 1 crazy dog. Iain and I are both originally from Scotland but became proud U.S. citizens in 2002 (the Scottish accent is here to stay, though!). I am a stay-at-home mom, a volunteer at my kids’ school and I am also a part-time Criminal Justice student.
I have been scrapbooking, stamping, and cardmaking for 8 years and thoroughly enjoy every minute of it! My work has been published in Paper Crafts, Card Creations, Take Ten, Simply Sentiments, Scrap & Stamp Arts, and Just Cards. I love the versatility of stamps and the creative process that takes place whenever I start a project. My style is clean, with embellishments to draw attention to the stamped image. I am very excited to get started with designing for QKD and hope you will stop by regularly!"
