Royal Kat Tuesday: 3-D Item

Welcome to another Royal Kat Tuesday! This week's challenge is to create any 3-D item.

And here's what I came up with:

Here is a close-up:

I used to make these paper fans in school when I was a kid. And I've been seeing them online being used as a round embellishment on scrapbook layouts. I originally intended to make pompoms. lol. But art cannot be tamed. And I ended up with a paper flower. Still good. *grin*

I used a combination of acrylic and rubber QKD Stamps: Cupcake Friends, Russian Dolls, Elegant Sayings.

Ink Stained Roni...

Phew! what a day. I've been making cards and fun things all day with the July Royal Kit and the Jul/Aug Findings kit. They are all drying and will be ready for their camera time tomorrow! :) I can't wait to show you what I've made with the two kits this month. I'm so happy my rubber order got here today so now I can finish up the July kits! The Findings kit is sold out, however we have Royal kits and WIS kits left and will have Get Inked! kits tomorrow!

So, anyhow... I'm here this morning to announce another fun addition to the Queen Kat Designs family...... Roni Johnson, our very own Get Inked! kit designer and I have been working feverishly to bring a new vintage flair to QKD! She has designed some awesome stamps that I know you will love. Along with the new Studio 77 stamp line, the Ink Stained line will be released on July 7th! Roni is working really hard to get some projects made up with the new stamps to show you... Her power has been out for the last day or so and she's trying to get back on track.. So lets send some prayers up that her heat gun can have power soon! :)

So... are you ready for another peek at the new Studio 77 line? or do you want another fun announcement? YOU choose what you want me to blog about tomorrow and I will! Just comment on this post and the selection with the most comments will be the topic of the Saturday blog post!

Also... remember tomorrow is the last day to save 25% on all Rubber stamps! Shop now and save.

Studio 77 Coming Soon!

So.. It's almost 1 month to Summer CHA! It's a crazy crazy time of year for Queen Kat Designs and the Royal Court. I actually kind of gave the Royal Court a break from new stamps for July! WHAT? Have I totally lost it?

Nah, I've been working on new stamps myself. I've come up with a collection that I am very fond of and is my own private collection called Studio 77. It's a very eclectic selection of stamps ranging from rock n roll, distressed stamps to graffiti writing and your very own distressing stamps. I have a sneek peek here for you...

I hope you'll enjoy the hints I have to drop from now until release day which is July 7th!! Yep, that's correct! We are releasing our new July lines on July 7th and we are not making you wait until CHA! There's lots and lots to come this month so stay tuned with QKD!

Right now we are running a great sale! 25% off all QKD Rubber stamps and 60% off of all remaining QKD Acrylic stamps! I just reloaded the store with acrylic stamp grab bags and lots of fun stuff! All Clearance items are ready for a new home and are 55% off! Come and shop now. Sale ends 6/25/10.

More to come from the new Studio 77 collection!

Royal Kat Tuesday: Inspiration

Welcome to another Royal Kat Tuesday! This week's challenge is to derive Inspiration from the wonderful photo below:

And here's what I came up with:

Here are some close-ups:

So in case you were wondering what crazy food I tried out for the first time during my 32nd birthday, it was frog legs! Just goes to show you don't have to travel very far to inject a little bit of the exotic into your life. Just head over to a restaurant and try out something you haven't tried out before.

Since the restaurant we went to was a Chinese restaurant, I was of course going to use my Prosperity Crane Stamp Set! (Sadly, an oldie but classic stamp no longer available at the Store. Chin up, do check out the rest of the awesome stamps, especially the new releases this month, and make sure not to miss out on them in the future!)

Royal Kat Tuesday: Black and White

Welcome to another Royal Kat Tuesday! This week's challenge is COLOR: Using black and white.

Here's a close-up:

It was my grandmother's 98th birthday last month and I made this card for her using the lovely Beverly Stamp.

So it's not your classic, cheery birthday card. But I wanted the card to have a classy theme. Plus I wanted to thank my grandmother for being there for me through the good and the bad.

Royal Kat Monday

Hello, and welcome to the Royal Kat Monday Blog Hop! This week, we had a sketch to work with:
And here is my take on it:
I used the cupcakes from the From my Kitchen set, I colored them in copics and added glitter sprinkles. I flipped the sketch on its side and used a sticker sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by! Now hop on over to Jules to see the next fabulous creation!

Royal Sketch Monday- release week #2

Hi and Welcome to Royal Kat Monday! This week, we had a sketch to work with:

And here is my take on it:
This stamp is just so different, isn't it? It really is a beautiful image. It is called the Peacock Lady. I decided to go with peacock colors on the image. I used some paper from Basic Grey on the card, and colored her in with Copics.

Thanks for stopping by! Now hop over to Dark Ink Society to see the next creation. It is week 2 of new releases, so don't miss any!

Here is the list of stops on the hop:

While the Kat's Away . . .

Okay, Vicki is off camping and getting some much needed rest and relaxation, so while she is gone, I am hijacking the blog for today.

Why you ask? Because I am so stoked about the June WIS kit! I always get the Royal kit and when I saw the June WIS kit this month, I had to have it! One has my name on it but make sure you get yours now. Look at this fabulous stamp set!

I love that her eyes are closed; she is making a wish!! And the cupcakes! Don't get me started about how much I love cupcakes! Keely and Alex have already worked with her and their cards are in the gallery and man! did they rock it!!!

Okay, you definitely need this kit! Make sure you get yours now before they are all gone!!
