Remember...
On this card, I used the Friends Forever Stamp Set and a new release set called Home. Look for it at the blog party on January 7th!! I love the color combo of red, black, and white so that was the easy part. I used my Cricut to cut out the jagged black circles, pop dotted the stamp on the white circles, did some layering.... and TA DA!!! What a perfect card to send to an old friend to say "HI"!!
Happy Tuesday!!

New kits!!
Feast your eyes on this sweet treat! The Royal kit for January features the Color Me Pink papers from 3 Bugs in a Rug and the oh so yummy stamps from QKD. There's only 1 left! It's a 12X12 kit so act fast.
aren't you sweet!
On this card I did stamp the flowers in craft black ink and used clear embossing powder, and then heated. I used real red su marker to make polka dots in a few of the flowers. And pretty in pink in the others. I also used certainly celery to go over allt he steams, and leaves. I used my large marvey punch to punch out the flowers, and then just mounted that on black and cut it out. The dp is double sided, and sooo sweet! I then just stamped the sentiment on the bottom, and added my ribbon treatment to the top, with a white heart shaped button!
Thank you for looking, and hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Let the THANK YOU's begin!
I got a neat HP personal photo printer! Color me VERY happy! Need to get more ink so I can print more pics but you better believe I'll get lots of use out of that bad boy....I can print wallet, passport size, 4x6 and even 5x7...oh...and it will do 4x12 panoramic too! Not to say that I'll use it for EVERY photo that I want, but sure is convenient to have it here for that 'perfect' page right!?
So....along with the gifts I bet there are some people you wanna give a special 'Thank You' to, isn't there? Well, who wants to go out and buy some premade Thank You cards when you can MAKE them! That personal added touch that tells them not only 'Thank You' but one right from the heart! One made BY you to them!
Here are a few cards to get you started! The 'Thanks My Friend' came from the Build A Bird set and the Thanks came from a retired set! (Sorry...one of my favorite stamps!)
I'd love for you to share links to your creations!
Have a great day!

To make these.. You will need :
Patterned paper
stamps
dye ink
eyelets
cardstocks
card bases folded to 3"X3" (3" X 6" flat)
Ribbon

Basically it's all cutting and measuring to get things to fit. It will depend on the size of the stamps that you are using. I used the stamps from the December Take 3 Kit here at QKD. The stamped pieces of cardstock are also known as "Shorties". It's a new trend that trumps inchies any day! Shorties are 1.75" X 1.5". Just a little bit bigger and oh so fun! The Royal Court was challenged by Nikki to make shorties a few weeks ago. They really had a blast. Come to the gallery and check them out. Shorties can be used on cards, tags, gift cards, scrapbook pages and more! Have you made your shortie today?
How fun would one of these be made with the Princess Carriage and castle? fun!!

Royal Day 3
To make this cute simple, double sided ornament you will need:
Nestabilities- Round Scallop
QKD Stamps
Dye Ink Pad
5 different patterned papers
6" of ribbon
Stapler with staples
pop dots
adhesive
paper piercer
hole punch or crop-a-dile
Step #1: Cut the various circles needed:
2: 4" circles
2: 3.5" circles
2: 2.25" circles
Step #2: Stamp on the 2 top circles. You can use any stamps you want to. But I used the stamp set from the December Royal Kit and Get Inked! Kit at QKD.
Step #3: Adhere the two largest circles together with mono adhesive. take care and don't get it on the scallops or you will gum up your hole puncher. Next, add the ribbon to the ornament. I used two staples in an X pattern to keep it in place.
Step #4: Punch holes in the large and medium scalloped pieces all around the edges in each scallop. And then take your paper piercer and pierce holes in the 2 small circles that you stamped on.
Step #5: Using pop dots layer your circles together and hang your new ornament. :)
I once made these with frogs on them. They were sooooo cute! The sky is the limit on the themes you use these for. Have fun with them they are addictive. Stay tuned for another tag from Nikki tomorrow.
Just Whalin' Around/Negative effect inked+embossed!
You have until tuesday evening to post your card. Thanks for playing!!
Hi everyone, today I decided to show you this technique. Its Negative effect inked+embossed. I tried to keep my card as simple as possible to show you what the background looks like with this technique. What you will want to do is get a cuddlebug folder, and take your ink pad and rub it across either the bottom or top part of your folder. In this case I did the bottom part. Then lay your paper to be embossed and run it through your machine, just like normal. On this card I did add corner pieces that i cut after i used the corner punch on them. This darling Whale is from Queen Kat Designs, and I stamped her on su dp. She is stamped 2 times, once on the white and then on the pink dp. I also used dazzling diamonds on her waterspout.LOL Not sure what that is called...LOL anyways
What do you think ????????
Hugs, Cheryl

Under The Sea
So how did I make the tag you ask?!?!?First I stamped my fish and bubbles onto the tag and then used distress ink to cover the entire background. Following that, I cut a clear cd into the size I wanted and sanded the surface until I got the "frosted" look that I was going for. After, I used Gesso to paint a strip on the back side of the cd, colored the front of the strip in with a red marker. On the back side of the cd, I stamped the seaweed and embossed it with UTEE, followed by adding color with different shades of green. My last steps were to add glossy accents to the front of the cd on the red strip, punch holes and add "rivets" to the cd, and emboss the top of the tag with black embossing powder.
So, I know you have a Timmy Technique that you are dying to try! So try it out! Oh and one more thing, check out Queen Kat Designs and also, come join our group over at PCP.
