Make your cards noteworthy using this great kit from QKD - the June 2008 Royal Kit!

The kit features yummy Dream Street Papers and an exclusive stamp set from QKD. Check them out:

These papers are so pretty but masculine at the same time, check out the cards made using this kit.

Here are a couple by Jules! She even stamped on her ribbon using that fabulous music line. How cool is that! Can't you even see that being used as a border on a layout or even creating your own sheet music!

And finally one by me - Penny. I pulled in the Many Thanks set to use with my kit.

From cards to layouts to art journals to altered projects, this is a set and kit that can be used on it all. So, head over to the store and snatch up this great kit and see if you can make your work "note"worthy!

Shroomy Week!

Seems like a lot of us gals are pulling out our Shroomies Stamp (which is on SALE!!!!) and playing with them! I've found out that I love coloring the stamps....I always thought I was a 'stamp and go' kind of gal...but lately, pulling out the water colors, Prisma pencils, and yes, even the markers, has been a BLAST!

I pulled out my ink markers for this one....

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and don't forget to stop by our GALLERY to see more wonderful creations from all of the Queen Kat Design Team!

Blessings,
Jules

TGIF!

Wooossh....there went my week again! I'm so ready for the weekend and a much needed break! I don't seem to take as many as I should and really need to change that! I have a good friend who lives in town near me and, being military families, this is something considering we worked together at our last base our DH's were stationed at and are now here we are together again! I love when that happens! She and I get together once in a while to catch up on everything going on in our crazy life! We are way overdue for another one! That being said I thought "hey....a neat card would be fun to get so......" I did, I made her one! I used Queen Kat's stamp set called "Give Me Coffee" for the words.

There are actually 4 stamps in this set and I can't seem to pick a favorite saying! I like them all! LOL! I wanted to do something different here too. I made my own designer paper! Not that I don't have enough that I purchase because, believe me, my craft room is well insulated by paper! I was in the mood that night! LOL! I used the shaving cream technique with reinkers to create the paper! It left me in total control of the color scheme. I wanted this card to have the words really pop out! I think I achieved my goal! I used random other items from my stash for the rest of it, flowers, rhinestones, brads - just an eclectic mix of things! This was a fun card to make and hopefully she'll enjoy getting it! It will be delivered tonight via "HDS" or, Husband Delivery Service as now...I work with her husband! LOL! Goes to prove it is a small world! LOL! Now go get your coffee stamps and invite your friends out for a break too! If you create something using this set send a link to Queen Kat so she can see your creativeness too!

Enjoy!

Magical

I used the always cute Shroomies this week; I decided to cover them in glitter.

I love the soft colors accented by the black cardstock; it adds such a great pop. The glitter makes the Shroomies look candy coated confections, what fun!

Have a Magical Thursday!

Altered Box: Home

It's taking forever before we get the go signal that we can move into our new home. Meantime, to keep myself sane, I altered this cardboard box I've been using to store some of my smaller mini-books.

I love making collages like these since they're a great way to show off some of my favorite scrapbooking products like Queen Kat Designs' Chandelier Stamp and Aged Text Background Stamp. I don't think I'll ever get tired of these two oldies but goodies.

Do check out QKD's gorgeous Background Stamps and more at the store. You just might find some new (and even old) favorites. I guarantee that you'll find yourself using your QKD stamps again and again as the designs are just such classics.
*hugs*

I Scream, You Scream......

I scream, you scream....we ALL scream for ice cream!! Warm weather's coming so break out those ice cream scoops! YEAH!!! This week at work has been absolute nuts! So much going on, so much stress it's just crazy! On Wednesday I think if my co-workers could have found ice cream somewhere in the building to just shut me up they would have! LOL! Sometimes ice cream just serves a "medicinal purpose"! KWIM?! I made this card with the idea that I can at least LOOK at ice cream right?! LOL! I used Queen Kat's "Build a Sweet" stamp set to create this one!

My youngest is just like her Dad - ice cream is a staple but the difference is, her ice cream HAS to have sprinkles! LOL! So I needed sprinkles..what do I do?! I used my Martha Stewart ladybug punch! Yep, that's right! I punched out a bunch of them in different colors because the ladybug had these tiny little holes and they made my "sprinkles"! I used glitter for my cherry on top. The ice cream is stamped on colored cardstock, cut out and popped out with pop dots. I used my letters that I have had in my stash forever so I can't recall their maker but you can make your own easily with cardstock, glitter and glue! Easy peasy!
I can think of nothing else but "YUM" here! LOL! Oh and the ice cream that I got - finally?! I went to Wendy's for a frosty and tried their new one - "Coffee Toffee Twisted Frosty"! Good stuff, good stuff! LOL!

I hope you enjoyed my little summer treat!

Soft and Sweet

Here is one more card using this super cute Girlfriends stamp which is now available, hope you got yours already!

I tried to mimic the scallops and dots found on the girls' dresses throughout this card. That is such a fun way to carry out a theme and make the perfect papers and embellishments for your card or project. It's subtle, but has impact.

These are some great colors for the spring, don't you agree?

Have you seen this post? I can tell you that the images are to die for.

Have a Happy Thursday!

Girl power

I'm not much of a girly scrapper. Most of my creations usually revolve around my husband and son.

So it was definitely a refreshing change of pace to be able to indulge in my girly side with Queen Kat Designs' new Girlfriends stamp. (Watch out for it in the store this month!)

I wanted to show off how many creations and looks you can come up with with just one amazing stamp so I made:
A layout featuring my beautiful sis-in-law and niece.

An accordion card.

A mini-book. I got the "remember" sentiment from QKD's Friends Forever stamp set.

If you're hopelessly addicted to QKD stamps like I am, you should look forward to all the new amazing stamps in store just for you!

Drop by the blog often or, better yet, subscribe for updates, because you don't want to miss the equally amazing creations of the Royal Court.

I promise you won't be disappointed.

Cute... Not Scary! :)

So, as soon as I saw this adorable dragon from last months release- I knew I had to have it! And, of course, the castle goes great right along with it! I had to pair them up with this adorable Imaginence paper that I've been holding onto for some time and the matching large brad on the little bow! Too cute!

I just love this card, the great stamps, adorable paper, little bow & carriage - so adorable!
I can't wait for everyone to see the new releases for May and all the great stuff the Design Team has done with them, so check back tomarrow for a new release blog hop!

Magestic Monday

Happy Magestic Monday!
Mondays are famous for
bad hair days, don't you think?
Well, I think this cute chic
could never have a bad hair day!
I have to share...
the minute my children saw this set,
they giggled and said
"This chic could have a bad hair day."
I was clueless.
So they pointed out how the three
small feathers could be
her hair while the large one
could be her wing.
So hillarious!
I love kids and how they think!
Look for this adorable stamp set
"Build a Bird"
in the

CAMPING...

There is nothing I enjoy more, this time of year, than spending time with family and friends at the campground. We love to sit around the campfire, ride bikes, walk the creek and trails. Even better that we don't have our tv's, computers, and we are out of cell phone range. Back to the basics.
This stamp set is a reminder of these times, and I have enjoyed making these cards to send to my family and friends who love to camp. They are also great for use in scrapbooking, and make great accents to any camping/outdoor page (especially if you have a boy/girlscout.
These will be for sale soon! You don't want to miss this set.
Thanks for looking and have a great Monday!

Take a Walk to the Shop

Or a jog, or a stoll, or a meander, or a fast full pace run. Yeah, that's more like it. Well, I am not scrapping today for NSD for some different reasons, but I did still want to post today, and our trip today is to the shop for some of my favorites in the store!!

One of my all time favorite background stamps is the Aged Text Stamp:

This is such a versatile stamp! I have used it on flowers to add "texture" to make my own patterned paper, to stamping on chipboard for that little extra umph! And it is on sale!!! This great stamp is only $2.70!!!

Now, one of my favorite journaling stamps! The Library Card Stamp Again, great for cards and also great for layouts!!! Journaling on it and use it as a tag or in an envelope or behind a picture! Again on sale and such a bargain, only $3.15.

And my favorite past kit! This 6x6 Royal Kit is too die for!!! So, why is it in the shop still! People you need this kit!!!!

The snail stamp is adorable, and you can only get it in this kit! There are two kits left, so don't let it go by without you having it!!! Again, with the great sale, the kit is only $18.39.

Kits on SALE!!!

Did you see that??? Part of the sale is a 20% off on all the past kits!!!!!

These are in LIMITED supply and will NOT last long!

Here are a few 'highlights' from some of the past kits!!!

This card was made by Penny from the August 08 kit....(there are only 2 of them left!!!)

This one was made by Vicki from the May 08 kit and there are only 2 of those left!

And this one I made from the March 09 kit and there are 5 of those left, but I KNOW they won't last long at this price!!!

Then....I pulled out the March 09 kit again last night and made this one! (can't believe there are ANY left of this kit!!....heck....can't believe there are any left of any of them!!!)

Go NOW....RUN don't walk....CLICK FAST!!!!!

Here is where you'll find them in the store!

I am "Peas-ed" To Share....

I am "Peas-ed" to share my latest creation using Queen Kat Design stamps!! He he he! I had that title thought up as soon as I knew what card I was going to show you today! I love this little stamp! It reminds me of my sweetie and me - two peas in a pod! Don't they look like they're snuggling?

When I first got this stamp I knew it would be a good one to give my DH but then, I got to thinking....no, before you ask it wasn't a painful experience for me! LOL! I was thinking in the scrapbook side of my head - wouldn't this make a cute addition to a scrapbook layout of a couple, some best friend photos - I mean how many times have you stated "they're like two peas in a pod"?!! Since it's your stamp you can even add funny faces to the peas! In this card I decided to paper piece the pod portion with some scraps I had. The stamp is clear and since it's an outline type of design you can position it where ever you want the pattern to be. I used my Copic Markers to color these including the DP on my pod! Don't forget you can click on the picture to get a good look at it close up!

So... like the stamp?! Well then, why not get your own?! They're on sale this weekend! Wanna race to the site..............?! First one there gets the best deals....no wait everyone gets the deals! Stamps and more are ALL on sale! YEAH!!
