This super cute Girlfriends stamp will be available soon! I have really enjoyed using it.

Like you, most of my cards go to friends and this stamp is perfect for them or for a card to a special female relative. Tons of detail and loads of fun to color.

I took the colors directly from the designer paper. I cut the image out using Labels 3 nesties, then mounted it with dimensionals on the pink panel. I used a gold glitter pen to add highlights to their hair, and pink for the flower.
Have a great Thursday, the weekend is almost here!

To The Moon, Alice! :)

I just LOVE this Over the Moon set! SO cute! The images are a really nice size to be used on cards as well as scrapbooking. The rocket is so great and fabulous for boy cards. The Over the Moon sentiment is part of this set as well. I decided to make a quick, fun card using a kit from a card kit swap from months ago. The orange paper had an image stamped on the opposite side that I didn't want to use, so instead I just flipped it over and stamped the sentiment on it and cut out. I found a scrap of green that coordinated with the PP and stamped the Rocket image and cut out.
I also added a little crystal Stickles to the Rocket window, wings & flames, just enough so it's still "boyish". I hand cut the "moon" and ran it through the Cuttlebug.
With no coloring, this card came together super quick! And adorable to boot, I think!

Have a "over the moon" day! :)

Alien Invasion.....

Alien Invasion of the cutest kind! LOL! I'm back with more cuties from Queen Kat's cute "Hip Aliens" stamp set! Seriously, Queen Latifah has nothing in their eyelashes!! I'm a "believer" and just think they're the cutest and are so versatile for either boys or girls...of any age! LOL! So lets say you need to mail a card for someone you haven't seen or perhaps spoken to in a while. You'd say something along the lines of "Hey Stranger" or "I've been outta this world busy" right?! Well once they see a cute, clean and simple card like this in their box they'd have no reason to NOT smile, and to call right away! I know I would! LOL!

So now lets say you, or your child, has a birthday party to go to. You'd normally want to create a cute, one of a kind card just to slip in the box right?! Well, how about a little note card like this then?! I mean sometimes, like me, you run out of time creating the gift that you need something fast to add to let them know who the thoughtful person was that gave such an awesome gift right? Perfect for the sentiments .... just a simple "happy whatever" sign your name and you're golden! YEAH! Oh and since this is too small to be mailed I carried the theme over to the envelope too!

I used Stamping Up cardstock and little notes for the card bases. The sentiment on the first card is an old, old SU stamp that I think I inherited (love when that happens) I colored my images with my Koh-I-Nor pencils and Gamsol. The star brads are from Making Memories as well and the sparkles are "stickles"! Even cute Aliens need a bit of bling right?!!

So, what are you waiting for?! Go get your own "Hip Aliens" stamp set, create your own cards and post a link back here to show just how "outta this world" you can get too! I not only dare you...I triple dog dare you! LOL! Here's more temptation for you too - they're on sale 25% off! Run, don't walk..... I'll be waiting!!

A Sunny Spot....

to mark your book?

Sure why not!

I've been hoarding these giant paper clips that I picked up from Walmart for a while now. I knew they would be perfect for a bookmark of sorts, so with some amazing QKD stamps, a little ink, and paper scraps I have the perfect card and mini gift for that reader in your life!

(Ok die hard fans three guesses as to which book I used in the pic and the first two don't count!)

Mushrooms and Pearls

How fun is this image? I love this Shroomies stamp, and did you know it's on sale?

I love adding bling to my stamped images. Can you see all the Kaiser pearls? They are the perfect size to add to the design of the mushrooms and are soooo pretty. The mushrooms are so fun to color, there's lots of detail to them. The embossing folder was a perfect match for the American Crafts paper as well.

Hope you have a very Happy Thursday!

Going Green...

Hello and Happy Monday everyone! In case you didn't know, Earth Day is this Wednesday. I decided to make this Going Green card for the occasion. I don't know about you, but my family doesn't do nearly as much as they should when it comes to being Earth 'friendly'. We should recycle, etc.. As the trend and awareness of "Going Green" saturates our society, I can't help but think about what I can do. I can't grow a big garden (pesky deer), but I do think I will try my hand at a small container garden. So, do you have any plans for going green this year? If so, please share!
Have a wonderful week!

Send some LOVE!

Just playing around with one of the CUTEST sets, the SENDING LOVE HOME Set.

This set is perfect for so many different occasions.

I love how adding some lace makes it perfect for some 'girly' cards, but at the same time you can keep it simple for the perfect 'boy' card....I'll make one of those and upload it in a bit!

Until then, just know that I'm SENDING you ALL a little LOVE!! Have a GREAT weekend!

Nannooo Nannooooo

Do you remember the show "Mork from Ork"?! I used to LOVE that show! Secretly I always wanted to be the girl on there because I thought, not only was she so pretty but, Robin Williams is a cutie pie!! Woo woo but, ssshhh don't tell my DH! Speaking of cutie pies, do you know a cutie pie of your own who is "Outta this world"?! When I saw this set on Queen Kat Designs and just knew that I "had" to have it! My husband and his sister are "believers",so is my daughter, nephews... and this would be the perfect stamp set to make them cards! I love these little "Hip Aliens"! They're not scary at all! They're so, well... "hip"! LOL! I had fun creating this card with them! Take a look and see what you think;

I used the set called "Hip Aliens" which, by the way comes with 4 stamps each one featuring the cute little aliens! The card base is the Basic Black from SU, the first layer of grey is SU, the glittery paper is a scrap from a huge pad of paper I had a while back (I actually keep my scraps!!). The stars are all made using the star punches from SU, the star shaped brads are from Making Memories. I used my Nestabilities to cut out the shape, first time embossing with Nestabilities too! I colored the whole image with my Koh-I-Nor pencils and Gamsol!

So what do you think?! Can't you just see these images being used for fun cards, invitations for an Area 51 birthday party, how about scrapping with them using the title "Outta This World" or "My Hip Alien(s)"?! There are so many possibilities! I hope you check them out and try some ideas for yourself!

Until next time...Nannoooo Nannoooooo!

At the end of the rainbow...

Is a pot of stamps? Well I treasure all of my QKD stamp sets like gold so why not! I was looking through the gallery really admiring all the great work the design team has put together, and I got to thinking... I wonder how many people really go check out all the latest and greatest in the gallery. I know it's where I go for inspiration! So here is a little homework if you will. Go check out the gallery and come back here and post a link to some of your favorite projects. Share some of that sunshine and be someone's rainbow!

The Tree of Life

I used a super fun tree from Funky Trees, lots of fun to color.

The card base is River Rock, such an earthy color perfect for the designer paper from SEI Dill Blossom. I added a strip of coordinating paper, matted it, and then added the eyelet border strip to the side for a little interest.

Another block of coordinating paper was matted and then I knotted the ribbon on the front and adhered. Don't you just love the selection of wide ribbons available now?!

The tree was stamped with Brilliance Graphite Black, then colored with copics. I added the grass at the base of the tree trunk just by swiping at it with my markers. Lastly, I adhered the prima flowers with a brad and a glue dot.

Have a happy Thursday!
